We are seeking a confident and competent casual mobile library driver with a current Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and a clean C1 driving licence to deliver our library service from a vehicle in the rural areas of Cheshire East. Please note that this is a zero hour contract to cover for any annual leave or absence of our permanent driver, you would only be paid for any hours worked. The position is based at Alsager Library, which is where the mobile library is garaged.

We are seeking a confident and competent casual mobile library driver to deliver our library service from a vehicle in the rural areas of Cheshire East. The position is based at Alsager Library, which is where the mobile library is garaged.
You would need to hold a clean C1 driving licence and a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). The job involves driving our mobile library from it’s base at Alsager Library into the rural communities throughout the whole of Cheshire East, following a regular three week timetable. You would need to undertake daily routine maintenance checks and take responsibility for the security, cleanliness and refuelling of the vehicle. You would need to engage with our customers in a friendly, helpful manner, and sometimes use our online IT systems to help issue and return books. In addition you need to have a knowledge of Health and Safety processes and procedures and the ability to lift books on and off the library and operate the lift.
