A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within our Kinship Assessment Team for a Team Manager. 

The Kinship team s a dynamic and growing team within Cheshire Est Council. Our team members are committed to providing high quality assessments and support potential kinship carers. 

As a Team Manager you will work closely with other teams within the council to ensure that our assessments are comprehensive and effective, you will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through training opportunities. 

You will have oversight and quality assure viability assessments, connected person assessments, and Special Guardianship reports for court.

- The ideal candidate will hold  professional Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.

- have experience of supervising others , previous management experience with an ability to lead and motivate others.

- have knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation in relation to the children's social care system and an understanding of Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards.

- Ability to problem solve is essential in this role given the often competing demands and deadlines.

- An approach to leading others utilising restorative practice principles is also essential.
