Community Support Connector

Cheshire East Council is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Communities Team as a Community Support Connector. This role focuses on recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to help alleviate pressures on public sector services and address health inequalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers.
  • Collaborate with local people, public, private, and voluntary sector services.
  • Build on the positive changes achieved during the pandemic.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support community initiatives.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in recruiting and managing volunteers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
  • Passionate about community development and making a positive impact.

Community Support Connector – Volunteering

We are looking to recruit a new team member into our Communities Team. The new Community Support Connector will take a focus on recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers with the aim to alleviate pressures around public sector services and health inequalities.

During the pandemic, Cheshire East Council was able to fully embrace and harness the passion of volunteering amongst our communities, working with them to build back a better future. The combined efforts of local people, public, private, and voluntary sector services ensured the right support was in place to build on the positive changes for residents of Cheshire East. We want to continue with developing this work.
